Mother Love Project was a successful pilot project started at the beginning of the Ukraine war (March 2022) when thousands of refugees crossed the border into the Czech Republic. We realised there was a need for support for pregnant women and immediately rallied women in the Prague area who volunteered their time, and many also donated money, pregnancy and baby clothes, groceries and toys. The idea of the pilot project was to show how quickly we could gather community support in times of crisis and to that end the project was very successful. This project was entirely funded by Prague volunteers.

We identified a group of Ukrainian pregnant women in need (as well as women who had just given birth) and assisted them in securing housing, food, and supplies and our group of volunteers worked together tirelessly to alleviate their suffering.

SPECIAL THANKS to all the Prague-based volunteers who have assisted us in taking care of the Ukrainian Refugee families: Alex, Loneldia, Gelia, Liina, Kim, Kayley, Kristyna, Leah, Olia, Laura, Alena, Kat, Laura, Kimberley, Karina. These ladies all have HUGE hearts and their involvement is so deeply appreciated!
